I want to thank everyone who has served/is currently serving in the armed forces for their service. Both of my grandfather's served during WWII, Marines and the Army, so I was raised to be very thankful for those serving.
This year is especially important, as I lost a friend only one week ago. He was serving his third tour, and was three days away from coming home on leave. RIP Sgt. Mike Knapp. He was a great man, husband, father and friend. You are gone, but never forgotten.
Let us honor those who have gone before us, and pray for their families peace and strength.
I am sorry to read of your friend's passing. We just heard about him on the evening news tonight.
ReplyDeleteThanks too all servicemen and women that continue to make sacrifies for our freedom. They serve without complaint and leave their families behind. Thank you all the men and women for the ones that are here and to the ones that are gone.
ReplyDeleteTHANK YOU
Much thanks Sgt. Knapp and his family. He had a lot people show their respect to him yesterday. Their were 218 bikes from the Patriot Guard Riders and several law enforcement officers escorting his body from the airport to the funeral home.
